How to use the service

&Certificates are provided in either e-format or physical voucher and gift cards, they include a voucher code unique to the voucher and its gift amount. You have the choice of either sending an e-voucher instantly or on a later date, or we can send a well presented hotel gift voucher with your personalised message in a beautiful wallet to your recipient. Of course, if you choose to send the e-voucher on a later date, you select the date and our system automatically sends the e-voucher to your recipient on the date you selected.
How to purchase a gift and our product types
Buying individual Hotel Gift Vouchers
Simply click on the buy vouchers button at the top of the page or the relevant button, select the currency and the denomination you wish the voucher to have, then put in the quantity of vouchers you want, then click "Add To Basket". (Please note: if you select a currency and then a denomination of 20 and put a quantity of 2, you will order 2 vouchers worth 20 of the currency you selected and you will be charged 40 of the currency you selected, the vouchers will be identical (ie. have the same personalised message)). Once loaded, you should see your order appear beneath the promotional code box. At this point, enter a promotional code if you have one. Once done, select the type of voucher you want, either Email voucher, postal voucher or gift card. Then click Proceed. The process from here will depend on which option you selected, Postal, Gift Card or E-Voucher, please see below.
Order process for E-Vouchers
You should see your order and another form asking for your details. Please fill this in and tick the box if the email address you gave in the form is different to the email address you wish to send the e-voucher to. When you tick the box the form will ask for details of the email address you wish to send the e-voucher to. Once you have filled in all the required details you can enter a personalised message which can be upto 250 characters (this includes letters, spaces, numbers and all punctuation). Once done, double check your personalised message for any errors, once you are happy, click proceed. In the next screen, you have the opportunity to select instant delivery of your e-voucher or you can select a future date on which the voucher will be sent automatically. Then we need you to accept the terms and conditions and tick the box if you would like to receive our newsletter. Once you're finished click proceed and you will be taken to our payment page where we will take your details. If you pay by credit/debit card your payment should go through instantly and if you selected the instant e-voucher this will be sent instantly.
Order process for Postal Vouchers
& Gift Cards
You should see your order and another form asking for your details. Please fill this in and tick the box if the address you gave in the form is different to the address you wish to send the postal voucher to. When you tick the box the form will ask for details of the delivery address you wish to send the e-voucher to. Once you have filled in all the required details you can enter a personalised message which can be upto 250 characters (this includes letters, spaces, numbers and all punctuation). Once done, double check your personalised message for any errors, once you are happy, click proceed. In the next screen, you have the opportunity to select a theme of the voucher, delivery options and upgrades (the upgrades are coming soon!). You are now required to agree to our terms and communications by ticking the relevant box and you can opt into receiving our monthly newsletters to get updates and promotions. You are then taken to our payment portal.
Buying bulk/Corporate or Incentive vouchers
Simply click on the corporate voucher icon for wholesale, corporate and bulk voucher orders and follow the simple instructions, to receive your vouchers instantly the best way to pay is by credit card, however you can arrange to pay via bank transfer or cheque, cleared funds are required before the vouchers are sent out. Using the vouchers
1. At the top of the page click "Redeem Voucher". This then takes you to our Hotel Search page. Simply search online for the hotel you require on the dates you want. We have up to 70,000 hotels worldwide for you to choose from!
2. Once the search results come back, find the hotel you wish to book, then click on the "Book" button next to the hotel of your choice.
3. Enter your Title, First and Last Name, then click the tick box next to "Pay with HotelVoucherShop Vouchers".
4. You will see a redemption box appear in which you need to put in your voucher number and the amount you wish to redeem, ensure you select the type of gift you have, gift card, voucher etc.
Remember: you are not required to use your vouchers total amount in one visit. The amount left over is saved on the voucher and you can use it as many times as you like until the voucher amount reaches 0 or the expiry date on your voucher passes. The expiry date is a year after the date the voucher was purchased and does not renew on the date you redeem the voucher.
5. Once you have put in your voucher number and redemption amount hit Submit. You should then be taken to our payment portal which will ask you to pay any remaining balance on the total amount after redeeming your selected amount with your voucher.
If you do have an amount left on the voucher you use the same voucher number to redeem the voucher until the amount on the voucher reaches 0.
The expiry date on the voucher is a year from the date of purchase.
Voucher expiry dates
Unfortunately vouchers do have to have expiry dates, please check on your
voucher for expiry date this is NON NEGOTIABLE and usually 1 full calendar year
from date of purchase. If a voucher falls outside of the expiry date you will
have to pay 20% of the voucher value to re instate the vouchers full value
amount. (this % may be changed)

How are the vouchers provided?
All Hotel Gift Vouchers are
provided in an e-format providing the recepient with a voucher code unique to
you and your gift amount. You have the option to select a pdf version of your
voucher to be sent to you via e-mail or post at the end of the order process
- How long are the vouchers and gift cards valid for? Gift cards and vouchers are valid for 12 months.

Can I leave a personal note on the voucher for the recipient?
Yes,
you can add upto 50 words on the voucher for the recipient to see.
You will be able to send the voucher via
email directly and instantly to the recipient, PLEASE ENSURE YOU USE THE
CORRECT EMAIL FOR THE RECIPIENT

When do I pay for the voucher?
Full payment of the voucher will be
required at the end of the booking process.

What amounts are the vouchers available in?
Vouchers are available
in any denomination you wish and can be used by the recipient as many times as
they wish until the voucher amount has run out. The recipient is sent a voucher
that can be used at a later date and no hotel has to be chosen until the
recipient chooses to use the voucher (all vouchers carry a 1 year expiry date)

How does the recipient use the voucher I send to them?
The
recipient will search and book the hotel they wish at a later stage, they can
pay any additional amount required if they require a hotel that is higher than
the value of the voucher.
Postal Vouchers
You can send your recipient a postal copy of your voucher. To receive a postal
copy of the voucher please apply during the purchase process or contact us by
phone on 08446 606 007 or email info@hotelvouchershop.com stating that you
require a postal version of your HotelVoucherShop voucher sending in the post.
On agreement of sending the email you are agreeing to be charged in accordance
with the below, postal delivery rates as follows:
Standard Post - GBP 0.00
Recorded Post - GBP 2.99
International Post (outside of UK & Europe) / Special Delivery - GBP
6.99 or equivalent currency based on exchange rate.
We will aim to ensure you receive your voucher within 5 working days though
this is subject to postal conditions. To ensure prompt delivery we suggest that
you send your recipient the e-voucher. These prices may be subject to change
due to postal rate changes.
